Vladislav Yakovlev
Vladislav Yakovlev (Russian: Владислав Яковлев; born 3 August 1980 in Moscow, Russia)〔(Profile on www.eurovisionfamily.tv )〕 is the Executive Supervisor of the annual Junior Eurovision Song Contest since 2013, and the biennal Eurovision Young Musicians contest (since 2012) and Eurovision Young Dancers (since 2011) on behalf of the European Broadcasting Union.
==Early life and career==
He studied languages (English, Chinese and Italian) at the International Slavonic University of Moscow before working for two major Russian TV channels, Channel One Russia and RTR (now part of VGTRK).〔(Vladislav Yakovlev short biography at YoungDancers.tv )〕 In 2009, when the Eurovision Song Contest took place in Moscow, Yakovlev was appointed as Deputy Executive of the Contest. This role opened him the doors of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which he joined in 2010.
After joining the EBU, he was appointed as responsible for the Eurovision Young Dancers 2011,〔(Vladislav Yakovlev talking about the 2011 Young Dancers competition )〕 which had not taken place since 2005. Following the achievements of coordinating these internationally recognised events, Yaklovev took the challenge of being the Executive Supervisor of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013〔(Preparations for the 2013 Junior Eurovision Song Contest - Malta Public Broadcaster )〕 that took place in Kiev, Ukraine on 30 November 2013〔(Vladislav Yakovlev talks about the preparations for the 2013 Junior Eurovision )〕 and the 2014 Contest which was held in Malta.〔(Malta to host Junior Eurovision 2014 )〕 Yaklovev is currently working on the Eurovision Young Dancers 2017 and Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015.
